A busy month

Written by
We’re getting towards the end of the chaotic holiday season. August is usually our busiest month in terms of visits to property, as it is the time most foreign visitors come to the Dordogne and Limousin regions.

Many of these visitors decide to have a peek at French properties whilst on holiday or exploring these areas so this is the month we spend more time introducing people to the French property market. And for many, the beginning of an exciting journey so we try to find out about our visitors plans and ideas so we can do what we can to help further down the line.

We don’t expect many of our August visitors to purchase, at this stage it is more of fact finding exercise for both parties. However, it is very important stage in the process, if we can find out in detail what someone is looking for then we will go to work over the coming months to help our staff find suitable properties through detailed and specific searches with our partner agencies. Spending time early on will ensure valuable time is saved on subsequent visits.

We understand that unlike buying a property in your own locality or country, when purchasing overseas there are many more aspects to consider. Many of our clients are looking for complete lifestyle changes as opposed to simply moving house.

We at Perigord property have all done this before ourselves so understand the importance of not being pressured, having the right information to hand and simply knowing there is help available before during and after the house buying process.

So we intend to stay in touch with many of our August visitors over the coming months and doing what we can to help them find their ideal home in 2016.

We’re adding new properties all the time and don’t forget we have properties for sale in the Correze and Haute Vienne (part of the Limousin region) as well as the Dordogne. These areas offer excellent value for money and have some very interesting properties.
